Our work crew orders from here every so often and the quality is good. We're a big department so it take a bit to get our food but nothing unreasonable. I like the veggie options and the sandwiches are a good variety. I like to add chips for a reasonable and healthy lunch that's quick and fresh.

Haven't had much time to eat today, so there was no way I was gonna cook or prepare anything once I finally got home. I decided on Jimmy Johns because - 1) it's healthier than fast food, 2) is fast & convenient, 3) and wallet-friendly. Sound reasons to make a pit stop! I checked the nutrition facts online and found the #2 Big John is actually better for you (less sodium, more protein), than the Turkey Tom! Pretty surprising to me. It comes in at 500 cal on the French bread, which is just 15 cal more than Turkey Tom. Those two sandwiches (if I recall correctly) have the least amount of calories in comparison to the others - if you're concerned about that kind of stuff. I was in and out of there probably in 2-3 minutes! Fantastic cause I was starving! Place was clean and there was only one other customer in there. Staff wasn't very friendly, but they weren't rude either - just to the point I guess.

My most recent review is for the new Jimmy Johns which is farther north on Orchard Lake Rd. So this review, while still accurate is for a different Jimmy Johns that I have visited in the past. When you need to fuel up, and when time is an issue, the fast food places are the only real choice that one has. Generally, I don't really like fast food. I would prefer to find a small ethnic place that is individually owned and take my chances, but sometimes that is just not an option. So when there are no local ethnic choices, the national and international chains are where you can go. I call this feeding at the trough. But there are big differences between fast food places. Some are mediocre to poor and one or two of them are very good. Jimmy Johns is, IMO, a wide cut above most of the other fast food places. When I am travailing and have to grab a quick bite, if I see a JJ, then that is always my first choice. Why? It's all about quality. Jimmy Johns has two attributes that differentiate it from say a Subway or some other fast food chain sandwich shops. First, there's the bread. The bread at JJs is always slightly crisp on the outside and soft and rich on the inside. Contrast that with Subway's bread. That Subway bread reminds me of eating a dried out kitchen sponge. The second differentiator is the main ingredients. They are high quality. The roast beef is moist and tasty. The ham is not USDA grade zero. So when you get a Jimmy Johns sandwich, it is going to taste pretty darned good. Now JJs has gone through a kind of marketing evolution. It used to be that you could pretty much only find a JJs shop on a college campus. So if you were driving on the highway and you saw an exit for a major, or not so major university, you could pretty much bet that there would be a Jimmy Johns at that exit. Now that the college campus market has been saturated, JJs have shown up in suburbia and in the cities in areas where people work. And the same folks that graduated from colleges and universities a few years ago; those folks that loved Jimmy Johns when they were eating it while studying for exams and such, are now in the workforce and still eating at JJs. I have stopped at this Orchard Lake location inn the past when I didn't have a lot of time and I really craved a great sandwich. Jimmy Johns is an automatic match. Now they have a wide variety of sandwiches at JJs. I personally like one that stands alone in the JJ line up. It is bigger and more expensive than the rest. But to me, it is the perfect match for my tastes and appetite. That is the Gargantuan. A "Garg" is a mixed cold cut sandwich that also has roast beef and turnkey on it. So aside from the Genoa salami, ham, provolone and other stuff, it has those two items. It is a thick sandwich. They dress it with the usual greenery; lettuce, tomatoes and onions, and they add not only Italian dressing, but also mayo. Now the first time I saw them doing that, and that was quite a few years ago, I thought that using both mayo and Italian dressing was just wrong. But I was wrong. The mayo compliments the meats and the Italian dressing compliments the veggies. It really is a good way to dress this sandwich. I really love Gargs and almost always order them. At the current time they are not cheap, but still a good value at $ 7.50. But most of the JJ sandwiches are big, but not overstuffed like the Garg. The cost either $ 4.50 or $ 5.50 depending on the contents. And they even have some pretty plain ones for $ 3.50. Notable menu choices are the Italian Night Club which is what you would imagine it to be, and the Club Tuna that even has sprouts and cucumber in addition to lots of nice tuna, provolone and the other veggies. They don't serve hot food at JJs. So you can't get a soup or a Mac-n-cheese or anything like that, but the sandwiches are a cut above other fast food fuel stops and I recommend them. The Orchard Lake location was nice and clean. It was big enough to seat a bunch of people. The counter service; that's all there is, was fast and efficient.

two excellent reviews leave me nth much to say about this location or jimmy johns sandwich. For me a good old bootlegger club is just something i need when i feel like eating healthier but wants something better then subways. Also make sure to grab a day old bread on your way out for 50cents to snack on. They are awesome after a few too many umbrella drinks.

Can't believe nobody has reviewed this location! I get to this Jimmy Johns every week or two. It beats any other fast food place around, with healthy offerings, generous portions, reasonable prices and super quick service. The counter is always well staffed with sandwich folk often asking for your order before the cashier gets a chance to. The place is clean, well lit, and has enough booths and tables for a brisk lunch crowd. One of my favorites is the #12 Beach Club with turkey, sprouts, provolone, avocado spread, cukes, tom, etc., served on some seriously delicious wheat bread. The sandwich is large, a bit messy, and really tasty. They'd actually get five stars in my book, if only they'd give you some avocado slices--rather than the "avocado spread" which is spread fairly thin between a couple slices of provolone. Not in the mood for turkey? Get the #9 Italian Night Club, with genoa salami, capicola, smoked ham, and provolone cheese all topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and homemade Italian vinaigrette. You've got to ask for hot peppers, if you'd like some. The sandwich is big, with meats that are fresh and tasty. Sandwiches also come in smaller versions, there's veggie options, and some tasty bbq chips. Jimmy Johns doesn't disappoint.

Here it is 3:47pm! My sandwich just arrived! I placed my order at 2:56 pm! I will never order from this location again! My home is literally .2 - .3 miles from the store! This is the second time I had to wait almost an hour for "freeky fast delivery"! NEVER AGAIN!

When they get busy, they just throw together sandwiches with no regard for what you actually ordered on it. This is the third time we have ordered during the lunch rush where I only received lettuce and tomatoes when I also requested onion, oil and vinegar, and seasoning. Makes you wonder where else they cut corners...

I'll miss this location now that I've changed jobs. - Always clean. - The staff's always friendly. - They're always solid with deliveries for lunch meetings. - They're great when you stop in and grab something. It's a Jimmy John's. They're freaky fast...and friggin' good.

WORST FOOD POISONING OF MY LIFE. So, I went to this Jimmy Johns and ordered a beach club unwich with sprouts. An hour after eating (while also on a date) I started vomiting. I puked in the car on the way home. I literally sat on the toilet and puked in a trash can for over 6 hours. I was so dehydrated that I couldn't stand, so rotated between the toilet and laying on the floor. I was so sick I thought about calling 911 several times out of fear of something worse happening. So, I call Jimmy Johns this morning and talk to the store manager. He wants to GIVE ME A FREE DINNER FOR MY TROUBLES. Are you f-ing kidding me? I want my money back. I want my money back for missing work. Screw this place. Worst customer service ever. I will be contacting the district manager.

Worst jimmy johns ever. Manager was rude when I called to see if the delivery driver was on his way (have waited over an hour on multiple occasions during non-peak times). I miss the jimmy johns on 14 and M5! Oh and the mess up the sandwiches all the time!

You all are the SLOWEST and most DISORGANIZED Jimmy John's that ever existed. I am not sure who your manager is... but your delivery time is horrendous and you never get the order right. Like you all give a crap... nobody ever offers any reimbursement or offer of apology.

I thought Jimmy John's was supposed to be "freaky fast"? This is the second time that my order has taken over an hour to be delivered, and I'm only a few miles away. *EDIT: My wait for delivery is now going on 2 hours. I've called multiple times and have been assured that my food will arrive momentarily. Clearly it's not.

Nice location the inside was clean and like usual you get your sandwich super fast if only the pricing was better than I would come in more often.
